On Sunday, May 15, 1925, the first church service was held in the Sanctuary building at 201 SW Ocean Boulevard in Stuart. For over 99 years, First Baptist Church of Stuart has been a lighthouse in the Downtown Stuart area, with attendees from all over the Treasure Coast and beyond.

Since 1974, our First Baptist Christian School and Preschool have been educating thousands of students and ministering to their families, too. Following seven godly pastors, Dr. Darrell Orman has been pastoring here since August 1992. His ministry has included churchwide local and foreign mission trips, record baptisms, and the building of twelve churches in Brazil.

In its long history, the church has been known for its friendliness, love for people, and preaching of the Good News of Jesus Christ here and around the globe.

In 2025, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of First Baptist Church of Stuart with a grand homecoming celebration. We are currently in the process of constructing a new church and school, which will be completed within the next 3-5 years on "Reborn Farm," a 40-acre property on Kanner Highway that we purchased in May 2022.
